DO YOU AVOID MEDITATION? ( LEARN HOW TO LOVE IT!)

Moms are naturally afraid to take on yet another self-improvement project to feel guilty about.

Your life probably has a few exercise equipment you aren’t using, books you haven’t finished and club memberships going unused.

Mindfulness conjures up some dicey pre-conceived images of someone calm, in control and always knowing the right thing to do.

For moms where each day is a new adventure (and sometimes battle) the impossibility to always feel calm and in control makes us feel like we are doomed to failure before we start.

The thing is mindfulness DOES NOT equal perfectionism.

I can attest that even though I meditate, I’m often disappointed. Things don’t ALWAYS go my way and honestly, I’ve realized there is a lot more in my life that I don’t control.

So why bother meditating?

Because it will give you a lot more energy, mental clarity, and positivity so you can handle the challenging, disappointing and unexpected surprises from a more centered space. And actually, it will help you use your time more efficiently.

Today, I’m going to share 3 ways to fit meditation into your current life (exactly as it is) so you can begin feeling the positive shifts.

1.Morning Prayer

So many times we are rushing out of bed to start our day. There is no pause to connect with yourself. Before you get out of bed, repeat to yourself – “I surrender to whatever happens today, I know everything will flow exactly as it should.” Take 3 deep breaths and start your day.

2. Mid-day Reset

Set your alarm for 11:11 (angel number of course) and take a one-minute breather. When the time is all 1’s it means that the angels are around you and what you are thinking will manifest. So make sure you are thinking positive thoughts about how you want to feel, what you want to manifest and experience in your life. Then come back to the moment and move through your day with this renewed spirit.

3. Evening Wind-down

Right before bed lay in your bed and take a deep breath in through your nose. Hold and suspend the breath and mentally recite “I did enough today” 3 times and then exhale through the nose. Repeat this cycle 3 times.

Meditation on the mat is important but it’s not as important as bringing a practice of pausing and connecting with yourself throughout your day.

We would all be saints if we could live in the woods on a yoga mat without the stressors, pressures, and responsibilities of daily life.

So you see, you can bring meditation off the mat and into your life.

These tools will help you effortlessly bring the calmness of meditation into your life… Plus it’s simple and fast!! Win-win-win!

Now on to you.

Insight without action is meaningless so I want you to give this a go. Pick at least one of the above meditation exercises and incorporate them into your day. As you get more comfortable add the other practices.

Leave a comment below and let me know which exercise you are going to commit to for the next 7 days.

I’m so inspired by your courage, your commitment and your dedication to becoming the best mama, wife and human being you can be. You are rising up to be a conscious parent and I’m so honored to witness your journey.

Infinite calm vibes,

  1. I am going to focus on a midday reset at 11:11. I also want to try a morning prayer. I usually have a little one in the bed waking me up so perhaps I can incorporate them I to a new morning ritual.
