Can you imagine moving through your hectic, chaotic and busy life the way you do now for the next 5 years?
If that terrifies you, you’re not alone.
Most mamas can hardly picture how they are going to survive the next week- let alone the next 5 years.
We can’t be the kind of mama, friend and spouse we want to be IF our life isn’t setting us up for success.
I know you want more flow. More fun. More time to enjoy your lives.
But can you honestly say that this is your reality at this moment?
It’s probably more like rushed, hustling and going from task to task trying to get it all done without feeling like you are drowning.
I’m far from having all of the answers, but I do run my dream coaching business in between running my household, raising a toddler, cooking dinner and making Target runs. So yeah I know how limited time is each day and how crazy life can be.
However, I don’t go through life flying by the seat of my pants. I have proper planning tools in place that help me THRIVE amongst the chaos of my crazy life.
What I’d like to share with you today are the 3 steps to flow through life regardless of the chaos that will arise in your day-to-day life with kids.
After rebranding and relaunching my new business with a infant, one of the most common questions I get asked is how do I run a coaching business with a baby, run The Mindful Mama Experience e-course and still find time to travel, get quality time with my husband, make personal time for myself and enjoy my life?
First of all, you don’t “find” time you gotta make time for the things that are important to you.
You have to make the time. And you do that by getting crystal clear on what is important in your life — and then prioritizing those things.
1. Be Proactive. Not Reactive
Most of us spend our days reacting. Our email dings and we hurry over to check it. The phone rings, and we answer it, dealing with who and whatever is on the other end right then. We’re like Pavlov’s dogs, jumping every time we hear an electronic bell!
And that doesn’t even include the unique distractions you may face working from home, like the pup who wants a walk, the child who needs your attention, the piles of laundry… and so on.
The problem is that most of these tasks are not important, they’re just there.
And a great way to be proactive in our life is learning how to infuse calming pausing during the “JUST THERE” moments so when we are faced with the moment we truly want to relish, we are fresh and ready. We do this by creating a strong routine.
Routines help us by setting expectations about productivity with our energy levels and getting our minds into a regular rhythm.
Building a routine is all about persistence and consistency. And self-control isn’t genetic or fixed, but more like a muscle or skill, you build up over time.
2. Do What You’re CALLED to do
So often we are inundated with our “JUST THERE” tasks that we rarely have leftover time or energy to prioritize the things that truly give our life meaning like spending 10 minutes of undivided time with our child, working out or taking 3 minutes for meditation.
A great way to shift that is asking you what do you feel called to do in this moment and then taking inspired action. This is all about really tuning into yourself and not just winging life by things you feel like you “SHOULD” be doing.
When we do the things we feel called to do, we are more efficient, more inspired and we get into this zone where things just happen more smoothly.
3. Prioritize and Do it all…
As partners, spouses, mothers, friends and even mamapreneurs, we are pulled in many different directions, and that can make it difficult to see how you can “do it all.”
Once you’ve identified what’s important in your life, you can prioritize those things, and then focus. Create consistency and harness the power of focused frequency by working on a single project until it’s finished.
Each day will be different. Unexpected challenges will arise. You will be disappointed and certain things will not be in your control. Your mindset that you know “whatever is meant to be done today will be done”, will help you shift out of the constant “doing” and into the “trusting” that the Universe is guiding you toward the tasks that day that is for the highest good of you and all those around you.
“You can have it all — but you have to prioritize wisely “
