We live in a world where we believe MORE = BETTER! More money is better. More time is better. More friends are better. So we assume more meditating is better.. BEEEEEP – Sounding an annoying Taboo buzzer on you. That’s a slip up my friend!
Having my own meditation practice for the past 6 years, I’ve experienced some blissful 5 minute meditations and some weak 30 minute ones.
It didn’t matter if I sat for 3 minutes or 62 minutes (yes I’ve done that), then how does meditation really work? It was the sheer consistency of coming back on my mat, over and over (especially when I didn’t want to) that created confidence. And when you feel confident, you’re a whole lot nicer to yourself and you look at the world from a different perspective.
So how can 3 minutes give you a powerful boost of energy? Clear your mental fog? Or give you the clarity to make decisions with ease? KUNDALINI MEDITATION – that’s how!
This is the type of meditation I practice and teach. I’ve tried many different types from mindfulness to transcendental and I’m not knocking any other kind of meditation but if you are a busy mom living a fast-paced life, you need results- FAST. That’s what Kundalini meditation does. And thats why my students and clients love it!
You’ll feel a powerful energetic shift in just 3 minutes. How is that possible? Because you aren’t just sitting there mindfully quiet. Yes you’re sitting but many times you are doing a powerful breathing technique, chanting a mantra or holding a mudra (hand position) that helps you focus your attention. With Kundalini yoga you are basically pressing the reset button for your nervous system, mind and chakras so you can come back to a balanced state of being.
So it’s not about TIME. It’s about your INTENTION and ATTENTION for the duration of the meditation. (even if its just 3 minutes).
To build a practice of consistency it requires us to commit to one meditation for at least 40 days. It’s working through the resistance and creating a practice of self-discipline that allows to carry that confidence to other areas of our life.
I know what you are thinking I don’t have time for this? I really find it hard to believe you don’t have time for 3-5 minutes a day to calm down your mind.
Wanna try it out for yourself?
I have a 7 day meditation challenge for you. Try out a simple Kundalini meditation to release past emotions and stress. Commit to 7 days. When you make it 7 days you can decide if you want to keep going. Your goal is 40 days for maximum benefits and results. I totally believe you can do it cause once you start feeling the shift. You’ll get addicted to that feeling of calmness.
